Chargers Rally to Knock Off Wildcats

LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 3-1 decision to Lancaster Bible in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 3-14 overall, 2-9 NEAC, while the Chargers improved to 9-8, 7-5.

Following a scoreless first half, Penn College struck early in the second to take a 1-0 lead when Luke McFalls sent a cross to Roman Cruz in the 46th minute. LBC answered 10 minutes later on a Spencer Lockard goal and netted the go-ahead goal on Edward Bills' tally in the 65th minute. Brendon Dooley added a late insurance goal for LBC in the 89th minute.

Austin Dowrick had the best opportunity to even the game in the 86th minute but his shot found the hands of a diving goalie.

LBC outshot PCT 12-10 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Malcolm Kane finished with five stops in goal for Penn College, while Vann Sutphin had five saves for LBC.

Penn College returns to action Sunday, 2 p.m., hosting Penn State Berks.
