LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 3-1 decision to Lancaster Bible in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 3-14 overall, 2-9 NEAC, while the Chargers improved to 9-8, 7-5.
Following a scoreless first half, Penn College struck early in the second to take a 1-0 lead when
Luke McFalls sent a cross to
Roman Cruz in the 46
th minute. LBC answered 10 minutes later on a Spencer Lockard goal and netted the go-ahead goal on Edward Bills' tally in the 65
th minute. Brendon Dooley added a late insurance goal for LBC in the 89
th minute.
Austin Dowrick had the best opportunity to even the game in the 86
th minute but his shot found the hands of a diving goalie.
LBC outshot PCT 12-10 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Malcolm Kane finished with five stops in goal for Penn College, while Vann Sutphin had five saves for LBC.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 2 p.m., hosting Penn State Berks.
