ELMIRA, N.Y. – Elmira College dealt Penn College a 65-23 setback in a non-conference women's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3, while the Eagles improved to 2-4.
Maddie Wenk led Penn College with nine points,
Alicia Ross netted seven, and
Brittany Mitchell six. Wenk also grabbed a team-best nine rebounds.
Four players reached double-digits for Elmira, led by Emily Green's 15 points. Danielle Cleary added 13, Marissa Silverman finished with 12, and Rachel Vespucci scored 11.
The Eagles led 10-7 after the first quarter and 28-12 at halftime. Elmira outscored Penn College 21-2 in the third and 16-9 in the fourth.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 5 p.m., hosting Lancaster Bible College.
