BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Bryn Athyn built a 24-point halftime lead in a 111-85 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2 NEAC, 2-4 overall, while the Lions improved to 1-1, 2-3.
Zach Tocyloski led the Wildcats with 12 points, while
Landon Mueller and
Erik Perry Jr. both finished with 11, and
Tyree Vidal added 10.
Thomas Ross grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Carlos Perez paced Bryn Athyn with a game-high 25 points and Troy Steed finished with 21. Three other Lions posted double figures in scoring.
A dismal 27.5 percent shooting by the Wildcats in the first half, coupled with Bryn Athyn's 55.9 percent, led to a 52-28 halftime lead for the Lions.
Bryn Athyn led by as many as 37 in the second half, while the closest Penn College would get was 23 after
Brandon Fedoriw's three with 58 seconds left made it 108-85.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 2 p.m., at Penn State Abington.
