ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn State Abington handed Penn College a 103-75 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3 NEAC, 2-5 overall, while the Lions improved to 2-1, 3-3.
Thomas Ross led Penn College with 12 points, while
Marquis Delgado added 11 and
Erik Eichinger finished with 10.
Six players reached double figures in scoring for Abington, led by John Ryan's game-high 16 points.
Penn College held an initial 5-2 lead early in the game after a three from Eichinger and layup from Delgado and took its final lead, 9-8, on Eichinger's layup with 15:36 left in the first. The contest remained a one possession game for the next five minutes until the Lions pulled away from a 17-15 edge with an 8-0 run. Abington led 51-35 at halftime.
Abington led by as many as 37 points in the second half, while the Wildcats got as close as 18.
Penn College returns to action Jan. 5 at Alvernia.
