WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Juniata College added a run in the top of the ninth inning to secure a 7-6 win over Penn College in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 10-18, while the Eagles improved to 9-23.
Juniata scored the majority of its runs in the second innings when the Eagles exploded for five runs in the frame. Penn College got a run back in the bottom of the inning when a passed ball scored

A run in the third for Juniata put the Eagles ahead 6-1 before the Wildcats tacked on three runs in the bottom of the third to pull within two, 6-4.

Deric Ellerman to make it 6-5 and Scaringi drew a bases-loaded walk with no outs in the eighth to even the game. Penn College failed to score any more runs with the bases loaded by striking out twice and grounding into a fielder's choice.
Juniata put runners in scoring position the ninth, via a walk and an error and plated the go-ahead run on error to lead 7-6.
Whitmyer finished with three hits to pace the Wildcats' offense.
Max Bair fell to 0-2 after three innings of work. He allowed just one unearned run on one hit, struck out four walked one.
Luke Zamiskie started the game and fired 1.1 innings, allowing five runs (four earned).
Devon Sanders (2.2 innings, 1 ER) and
Jed Blankenhorn (2 innings, 0 runs) also pitched for Penn College.
Penn College returns to action Friday, 1 p.m., at Lancaster Bible College.
