WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – King's College edged Penn College 2-0 in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 12-21 this season.
King's added a run in the first inning off of an error by Penn College, and scored its second on a sacrifice fly in the fifth to lead 2-0.
The Wildcats struggled to plate runners, ending five of nine innings with runner's in scoring position – including bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to end the game.
Cole Hoffman led the Wildcats with three hits, while
Jeremy Rall finished with two.
Jed Blankenhorn fell to 0-1 after six innings on the mound. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits, struck out three and walked none.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 6 p.m., at Elmira College.
