WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Misericordia handed Penn College a pair of shutout losses in a softball doubleheader Tuesday at Elm Park. The Cougars won the first game, 10-0, before taking the second contest 9-0. MU improved to 16-8, while the Wildcats fell to 5-6.

In, game one,
The Cougars did all of the damage they would need in the first two innings, with six runs in the first and four in the second.

Misericordia recorded eight hits and drew 10 walks, while Penn College managed four hits and picked up two walks.

Amanda Kustanbauter fell to 2-3 after two-thirds innings of work. She walked five, struck out two and allowed six runs on two hits.

In game two,
The Cougars tacked on two runs in the first, three in the third and four in the fourth on seven hits and 12 free bases.

Kustanbauter picked up two of the Wildcats' five hits in the game.

Taylor Brooks dropped to 1-2 after 3.1 innings in the circle. She struck out four, walked 11 and surrendered eight runs (three earned) on three hits.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 10 a.m., hosting Morrisville State.
