WILKES-BARRE—Penn College dropped a 4-0 decision to King's College in a non-conference women's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats fell to 0-1, while the Monarchs improved to 1-0.
King's did all of its damage in the first half, netting four goals. The Monarchs added a goal in the 12
th, 16
th, 27
th and 29
th minutes and held the Wildcats to zero shots.
Penn College regrouped in the second half and was nearly even with King's in all major statistics.
Christina Weber and
Morgan Brooks both fired shots in the second frame and the defense kept King's off the board.
Colleen Bowes finished with four saves in goal for Penn College.
The Wildcats return to action Sept. 7, 6 p.m., at Gwynedd Mercy.
