WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College earned its first this season with a 3-0 shutout of Bryn Athyn in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats improved to 1-4 overall, 1-1 NEAC, while the Lions dropped to 1-3, 1-2.
Daniel Hibbs put Penn College on the board in the first half when he belted a penalty kick to the right side of the net in the 37
th minute.
Quin Cleis made it 2-0 in the 70
th minute on unassisted tally before
Luke McFalls added the final score in the 82
nd minute.
Bryn Athyn outshot Penn College 9-7 and held a 9-7 advantage in corner kicks.
Malcolm Kane earned his first shutout win this season in goal for Penn College with five saves, while Geri Alimadi turned away three shots in goal for Bryn Athyn.
Penn College returns to action Sept. 20 at Summit University.
