CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Penn College picked up its second straight win with a 2-1 win over Clarks Summit in a non-conference men's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 2-4, while the Defenders fell to 3-4.
After a scoreless first half, Penn College went ahead on an unassisted strike by
Ian Scheller in the 50
th minute. Scheller caught the Summit keeper out of position and struck the ball to the left side of the frame.
The Defenders evened the game in the 62
nd minute, before
Daniel Hibbs netted the game-winner on a penalty kick four minutes later.
Summit outshot Penn College 12-11 and held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Hunter Gosnell stopped six shots in goal for the Wildcats.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3 p.m., at Wilson College.
