WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won its third-straight game with a 3-2 win over Alfred State in a non-conference women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 3-1-1, while the Pioneers fell to 3-3.

Alexis Trkula wasted little time in putting Penn College on the board when she netted a pass from Christina Weber in the first minute of the game. Alfred State evened the game in the 19^th minute on an unassisted tally by Melissa Mineti, which led to a 1-1 halftime score.

Hailee Hartman made it 2-1 in the 54^th minute with her third goal this season. Olivia Murgo threaded the needle with a pass between two defenders that found Hartman's right foot. Stormi Kruger tied the game again for the Pioneers with a goal in the 62^nd minute to make it 2-2.

In the 85^th minute, Caitlin McCarthy belted a corner kick that found the head of Lauren Herr, who nudged the ball into the back of the net and put the Wildcats ahead for good, 3-2.

Alfred State held a 15-13 edge in shots, while the Wildcats led in corner kicks, 6-1.

Colleen Bowes stopped five shots in goal for Penn College, while Allison Danielak recorded three saves for the Pioneers.

Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., hosting Penn State Harrisburg.
