ALFRED, N.Y. – Penn College dropped a 1-0 decision to Alfred University in a non-conference women's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats fell to 3-3-1, while the Saxons improved to 5-2.

Alfred picked up the only goal it would need in the 13^th minute when Amanda Roberts converted a penalty kick.

The Wildcats fired one shot on goal in the 12^th minute when Olivia Murgo sent a ball on cage that was saved.

Alfred outshot Penn College 17-7 and held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Penn College keeper was tested often and held up to the challenge with nine saves.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 1 p.m., at Wilson College.
