WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Gallaudet University dealt Penn College an 82-63 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 5-9 overall, 3-6 NEAC, while the Bison improved to 11-3, 9-0.
Erik Eichinger led Penn College with 12 points and
Marquis Delgado added 11.
Raymond Nelson scored a game-high 18 for Gallaudet, Joshua McGriff pumped in 15, Noah Valencia added 13 and Andy Cruz finished with 12.
Penn College erased an 8-point deficit early in the game and tied the contest, 15-15, on an
Erik Perry Jr. trey with 10:53 left in the opening half.
Thomas Ross followed with a long ball and
Matthew Salvent's layup put the Wildcats ahead 20-15 with 9:57. GU answered with a 12-0 run to regain the lead and led 38-29 at halftime.
The Bison led the rest of the game, by as many as 22 and as little as nine.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 7 p.m., hosting Penn State Abington.
