WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – College of St. Elizabeth dealt Penn College an 85-63 loss in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Eagles improved to 11-5 overall, 9-2 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 3-12, 3-8.
Alicia Ross notched a double-double with a team-high 23 points and 16 rebounds.
Jane Herman and
Maddie Wenk both added 14 points for Penn College, while Ross and Herman both dished out five assists.
Ross is 36 points away from tying former teammate
Jamie Steer '16 (1,422) for the program's career scoring mark.
Jasmine Poole scored a game-high 30 points for CSE, Danesha Triplett netted 22, Deja Ingram added 18 points and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds.
The Eagles built a 22-8 first quarter lead before taking a 37-22 advantage into halftime. Penn College exploded for 27 points in the third quarter – led by nine points from Ross and seven from Herman – before the Eagles outpaced PCT 24-14 in the final quarter.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 5 p.m., hosting Bryn Athyn.
