MARCY, N.Y. – SUNY Poly handed Penn College a 74-52 loss in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. Penn College dropped to 6-12 overall, 4-9 NEAC, while Poly improved to 11-6, 8-2.
Erik Eichinger and
Carson Garvis both scored 11 points to lead Penn College.
Terrynce Wilson pumped in a game-high 22 points for Poly, Blake Haga added 14, and Peyton Griffiths finished with 11.
The opening five minutes of the game featured several lead changes and ties before Penn College separated from a 9-9 deadlock with 15:41 on the clock. Five points from Eichinger and one by
Erik Perry Jr. gave Penn College its largest lead, 15-9, with 12:43 left before the break. After Poly regained the lead, PCT took its last advantage, 18-17, on a Garvis three with 7:58 left. Poly led 32-27 at halftime.
Poly built a double-digit lead early in the second half and maintained the remainder of the contest.
Penn College returns to the court Sunday, 2 p.m., at SUNY Cobleskill.
