WASHINGTON, D.C.—Gallaudet University handed Penn College a 72-36 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-8 overall, 0-4 NEAC, while the Bison improved to 2-7, 2-3.
Gwendolyn Lavelle and
Jane Herman led Penn College with nine points each, while
Natali Fargus grabbed a team-high six rebounds for the Wildcats.
Kelli Barnes led all scorers with 22 points and Jakkisha Smith finished with 18 for Gallaudet.
The Bison built a 20-3 first quarter lead en route to a 36-14 halftime advantage.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., at Wilson College.
