HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Penn College shutout Juniata College 3-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats improved to 6-8, while the Eagles fell to 1-9-3.
Ian Scheller gave Penn College a 1-0 lead in the 20
th minute when he got his head on a loose ball and put it in the back of the net.
Greg Dorsch made it 2-0 eight minutes later when he connected a header on
Quinton Smith's serve from midfield.
Smith netted the final score in the 87
th minute when he poked in a shot after Juniata's goalie misplayed the ball around the 18-yard line.
Penn College outshot Juniata 15-13, while corner kicks were even at 5-5.
Malcolm Kane picked up his fourth shutout win this season with five saves.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 1 p.m., at Morrisville.
