MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Penn College battled to a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Morrisville in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats are 5-6-3 overall, 2-2-2 NEAC, while the Mustangs sit at 3-8-1, 3-2-1.
Ashley Donat put Penn College ahead 1-0 in the 34
th minute when she finished off a
Francesca Timpone rebound.
The Mustangs evened the game in the 53
rd minute and took a 2-1 lead in the 62
nd minute.
Donat netted the equalizer in the 78
th minute when her shot went off the goalie and into the back of the net. Penn College had 10 shots turned away in the second half, which led to overtime.
The Wildcats fired four shots on frame in the first overtime, but two shots from Chrissy Webber, and one from
Hailee Hartman and Donat were stopped.
Neither team had a shot on goal in the second overtime.
Penn College outshot Morrisville 33-13 and held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Taylor Gonzalez stopped four shots in goal for PCT.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 8 p.m., at Keuka.
