Wildcats Blank Abington, 5-0

ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn College exploded with four goals in the second half en route to a 5-0 win over Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 4-2-2 NEAC, 7-6-3 overall, while the Lions fell to 5-9, 3-4.

Penn College went ahead 1-0 in the 28th minute when Hailee Hartman found Ashley Donat. It was Hartman's 79th career point and 16th assists, both program records. Hartman is two goals away from breaking Robyn Beddow's career mark of 32.

Dominique Brown made it 2-0 in the 47th minute when she finished off Tayla Derr's free kick. Donat's tally in the 50th minute made it 3-0, before she found Tiffany Brown six minutes later on a through ball to make it 4-0. Jenna Rejman closed out the scoring in the 67th minute when finished off a rebound.

Penn College outshot Abington 22-3 and held a 7-1 advantage on corner kicks.

Taylor Gonzalez stopped one shot in goal for the Wildcats.

Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., at College of Saint Elizabeth.
