Wildcats Net Eight; Allow Zero in Win over St. Elizabeth

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Penn College scored a season-high eight goals in an 8-0 win over College of Saint Elizabeth in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats improved to 4-4-1 NEAC, 7-10-1 overall, while the Eagles fell to 0-8, 0-14-1.

Ian Scheller's header, from Quinton Smith's throw-in, in the first minute put PCT ahead 1-0. Smith assisted Chris McFarland's goal in the 15th minute to make it 2-0 before Austin Dowrick finished Quinn Cleis' pass in the 29th to give Penn College a 3-0 halftime lead.

Terrance Hillman's cross to Mike Gonzalez in the 50th minute made it 4-0 and Ian Scheller's unassisted tally in the 57th put Penn College ahead 5-0. Greg Dorsch assisted Dowrick's second score in the 65th, Brandon Wolff scored unassisted in the 75th and Christian Peters finished Joe Dreese's pass in the 89th minute.

Penn College peppered CSE with 37 shots and held an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.

Malcolm Kane stopped three shots for the Wildcats.

Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Wilkes.
