WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College netted a trio of first half scores en route to a 5-1 win over SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 8-11-1, 5-5-1, while the Tigers fell to 6-10-2, 4-5-1.

The victory clinched Penn College's first-ever NEAC playoff berth. The Wildcats will travel to Keuka in Tuesday's first round.

Daniel Hibbs gave Penn College a 1-0 lead when he converted a penalty kick in the 11^th minute. Mike Gonzalez made it 2-0 in the 18^th minute when he finished off a shot to the upper 90, and Matthew Hibbs made it 3-0 when he separated himself in a one-on-one match and found the back of the net.

Cobleskill netted a shot in the 28^th minute to make it 3-1 at halftime.

Matthew Hibbs struck again in the 67^th minute when he finished off an Austin Dowrick pass. Dowrick found twine in the 70^th minute after he headed in a Gonzalez helper.

Cobleskill held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks, while both teams finished with nine shots.

Malcolm Kane stopped three shots for the Wildcats.

Penn College honored senior Ian Scheller, Quin Cleiss, Joe Dreese, Geri Lua, Jonathan Myers, and Kane prior to their final home game.
