Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Wildcats and Chargers Battle to 0-0 Tie

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa – Penn College Women's battled to a 0-0 draw against Lancaster Bible in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Sunday.  The Wildcats stand 4-6-2 overall, 2-2-1 NEAC, while the Chargers are 3-7-2, 2-1-1.

Both teams had quality chances to score early in the game.  Jane Herman and Tiffany Brown both had shots saved by LBC goalie Kendra Brown in the first 12 minutes.  Penn College goalie Taylor Gonzalez was busy early as well.  Gonzalez picked up three saves in the game's first 13 minutes.  As the game went on both defenses settled in and keep the opposing offenses at bay.

The Wildcats had two quality opportunities to score in the first overtime period.  Just seconds into OT Penn College played a long ball to Haliee Hartman who sprinted passed the defended for a shot that was just wide of the net.  In the 99th minute Dom Brown ripped a shot from just inside the 18-yard box that sailed just inches high.

Lancaster Bible held the advantage in shots 15-9 while both teams each had three corner kicks.

Gonzalez recorded a seven save shutout in goal for the Wildcats.

Penn College returns to the field Thursday, 7 p.m. at Home vs Clarks Summit.
