WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College built a 47-16 halftime lead en route to an 88-35 win over Penn College in a non-conference women's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 1-3, while the Warriors improved to 3-1.
Cassi Kuhns led Penn College with 11 points and 12 rebounds to record her first career double-double.
Jane Herman and
Gwendolyn Lavelle both finished with eight points, while Tori Wolfe grabbed 10 rebounds.
Haley Sipple netted 15 points for Lycoming, Shelby Mueller scored 12, and Kayla Kline finished with 10 points.
Lycoming outscored Penn College 24-5 in the first quarter and 23-11 in the second quarter to take its halftime lead. The Warriors netted 17 in the third and 24 in the fourth, and held the Wildcats to 9 and 10 points in the finals two periods.
Penn College returns to action Monday, 6 p.m., hosting Elmira College.
