WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – SUNY Cobleskill withstood an early deficit en route to a 49-34 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Tigers improved to 3-3 overall, 1-1 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 1-6, 0-2.
Ericka Lepley led Penn College with 12 points on 5 of 16 shooting. Tori Wolfe added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats, while Cassi Kuhns and Aniah Ellerbee both grabbed nine boards.
Gabby Muraczewski paced Cobleskill with 12 points and Addy Lawson and DJ Miller-Peak both scored 10 points.
The Tigers held a 10-8 lead after the first quarter but the Wildcats opened the second with an 11-5 run to go ahead 19-15 on a free throw by Wolfe. Wolfe paced the run with six points. Cobleskill responded with a 13-1 spurt to close out the quarter ahead 28-20 at halftime.
Cobleskill never trailed by more than six the remainder of the contest and led by as many as 16.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 2 p.m., hosting Morrisville.
