WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped an 87-69 decision to Morrisville in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Sunday. The Mustangs improved to 3-4 overall, 2-0 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 1-7, 0-3.
Jane Herman scored a season-high 18 points for Penn College on 6 of 15 shooting. She added a team-high five assists and grabbed three rebounds. Ericka Lepley netted a career-high 17 points, on 5 of 11 shooting and Tori Wolfe finished with 11 points. Cassi Kuhns picked up her second career double-double with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Tori Rockefeller netted 18 points for Morrisville, which had four other players reach double-figures.
The Mustangs led 25-9 after the first quarter and 52-29 at halftime. Morrisville scored 20 in the third and the Wildcats had 15, while Penn College out-paced the Mustangs in the fourth with 25 points and held Morrisville to 15 points.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3 p.m., at Salve Regina.
