WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Morrisville handed Penn College a 78-57 defeat in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Sunday. The Mustangs improved to 3-3 overall, 2-0 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 1-7, 0-3.
Diyel Stewart led Penn College with 11 points, on 4 of 7 shooting.
Jesse White pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, while Ryan Lockman finished with eight points, six rebounds and three assists.
Trent Ward scored a game-high 15 points for Morrisville, Tyrin Miller and Kevin Dennis both netted 11, and Derek Beames scored 10.
Morrisville held a one-possession lead in the opening 10 minutes and took its largest lead, 18-10, with 9:43 left in the first half. The Wildcats pulled within three, 18-15, on a
Ben Sosa three before the Mustangs ended the half on a 15-8 run to lead 33-23 at halftime.
Morrisville's lead never dipped below double-digits the remainder of the game.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3 p.m., hosting Alfred State.
