READING, Pa. – Penn State Berks cruised to a 73-40 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Wednesday. The Lions improved to 5-10 overall, 5-8 NEAC, while the Wildcats dropped to 3-18, 3-12.
Alicia Ross scored a game-high 21 points for Penn College and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Gewndolyn Lavelle added 11 points for the Wildcats.
Sam Brensinger led the Lions with 17 points, Deanna Daddona and Elise Paskowski both finished with 12, and Sam Huggins and Britt Weiss both netted 10.
Berks led 18-5 after the first quarter and 41-18 at the break. Berks outlasted PCT 20-13 in the third and 12-9 in the final quarter.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 12 p.m., at College of Saint Elizabeth.
