WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Morrisville used a strong first half en route to an 88-66 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Sunday. The Mustangs improved to 16-6 overall, 13-3 NEAC, while the Wildcats dropped to 9-14, 7-11.
Erik Eichinger led Penn College with 17 points,
Marquis Delgado and
Ben Sosa finished with 15 points each, and
Thomas Ross netted nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Eichinger, Delgado and Ross were honored in a pre-game senior day ceremony.
Jordan Hoose paced Morrisville with 18 points, Tyrn Miller added 16, Kevin Dennis 13, and Trent Ward finished with 11.
The Mustangs held at least a two-possession lead for the entire first half and took its largest lead, 46-28, late in the half before holding a 46-30 advantage at halftime. Penn College got as close as 12, 50-38, on an Eichinger layup with 16:10 left in the game but the Mustangs retained a double-digit lead the remainder of the contest.
Penn College returns to action Friday, 8 p.m., at Keuka.
