KEUKA PARK, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 73-59 decision to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Friday. The Wildcats fell to 9-15 overall, 7-12 NEAC, while the Wolves improved to 4-18, 4-13.
Ben Sosa paced Penn College with 22 points,
Erik Eichinger added 13, and
Marquis Delgado finished with 11.
Cameron Winston led Keuka College with a game-high 23 points and Cliff Stevens added 20 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Penn College quickly gained a 4-0 lead after a
Jesse White two minutes into the game before the game went back-and-forth, including six ties, over the next 11 minutes. Deadlocked for the final time, 21-21, after an Eichinger three with 6:15 left in the first half, Keuka went on an 8-1 run to lead 29-22 before taking a 38-29 advantage at halftime.
The Wildcats opened the second half with an 11-2 spurt to tie the game for a final time, 40-40, after a
Shaekwon Grant-Wheeler three with 14:03 left in the game. Keuka answered with a 14-4 run, spanning minutes, and its lead never dipped below two possessions the remainder of the game.
Penn College concludes its season Saturday, 2 p.m., at Wells College.
