WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College remained perfect in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a two game sweep against SUNY Cobleskill in a softball doubleheader Friday. The Wildcats improved to 8-0 NEAC, 12-5 overall after a 4-0 win in game one, and an 11-0 blanking in the nightcap.
In game one,
The Wildcats backed four innings of hitless pitching from
Taylor Brooks with a run in the second and fourth innings, and a pair of runs in the third.

Maddie Wenk sacrificed in
Becky Schweikert in the third and
Kylie Shreiner's RBI single to right plated Brooks to make it 3-0. Another wild pitch in the fourth scored
Laycee Clark.
Brooks led the Wildcats offense with two hits and anchored the defense with a complete-game win. She improved to 4-1 after seven innings or work, with 11 strikeouts, two walks and three hits.
In game two,
After taking a 1-0 lead in the second, following
Alyssa Gentile's RBI single to center, Penn College's bats erupted in the third inning with 10 runs.
Wenk scored Brooks and
Tiana McCormick with a single to center before a RBI double by Shreiner and two-run double from Coldsmith made it 6-0. Krow's single to center allowed Gentile and Coldsmith to cross home made it 8-0, before RBIs from Brooks, Wenk, and Shreiner plated three more runs.
Shreiner, Gentile, and
Amanda Kustanbauter all picked up two hits for the Wildcats.
Kustanbauter improved to 4-4 after five innings of work. She allowed two hits, with one strikeout and two walks.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 12 p.m., hosting SUNY Poly.
