WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College remained perfect in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a two game sweep against SUNY Cobleskill in a softball doubleheader Friday. The Wildcats improved to 8-0 NEAC, 12-5 overall after a 4-0 win in game one, and an 11-0 blanking in the nightcap.

The Wildcats backed four innings of hitless pitching from Taylor Brooks with a run in the second and fourth innings, and a pair of runs in the third.

A wild pitch in the second plated Sophie Coldsmith in the second inning before Maddie Wenk sacrificed in Becky Schweikert in the third and Kylie Shreiner's RBI single to right plated Brooks to make it 3-0. Another wild pitch in the fourth scored Laycee Clark.

Brooks led the Wildcats offense with two hits and anchored the defense with a complete-game win. She improved to 4-1 after seven innings or work, with 11 strikeouts, two walks and three hits.

In game two,
