Wildcats Drop Twin Bill to Keuka

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference softball games to Keuka College Monday at Elm Park. Keuka won the first game 6-2 and took the second contest 4-2.
The Wildcats fell to 12-4 NEAC, 16-9 overall.

In game one,
Keuka kept Penn College off the board for the first five innings while earning a 5-0 lead with a run in the first, two in the fourth and two in the sixth.

The Wildcats added two in the sixth on a RBI single to right from Kylie Shreiner and bases-loaded walk from Maddie Wenk. Keuka added a late run in the seventh.

Taylor Krow led the Penn College offense with two hits, while Kassie Winters fell to 6-3 after six innings and two earned runs. She allowed eight hits, with one strike out and two walks.

In game two,
The Wolves took a 2-0 lead with a pair runs in the third inning before the Wildcats pulled within one when Taylor Brooks reached on a fielder's choice that plated Tiana McCormick.

Keuka added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh while the Wildcats put a final run on the board on Alyssa Gentile's single to left that scored Krow.

Krow picked up three hits for Penn College and McCormick finished with two hits.

Amanda Kustanbauter fell to 5-5 after seven innings of work. She allowed one earned run on nine hits, with two strikeouts and three walks.

Penn College gets another shot at Keuka Wednesday at 3 p.m. in New York.
