Williamsport, PA - Penn College dropped a 3-1 decision to King's College in a non-conference women's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats fell to 0-1, while the Monarchs improved to 1-0.
King's jumped out to an early lead scoring a goal in the 5th minute. The Monarchs added an insurance goal with a score in the 22nd minute. Penn College answered quickly with a goal by freshman
Dominique Brown in the 28th minute.
King's once again opened up a two goal lead when they scored their third goal of the game in the 57th minute. King's went on to win the game 3-1 but Penn College was not without its opportunities,
Dominique Brown had a shot hit the post and Monarch goalie Jess Schenfelf saved a
Jane Herman shot that could of brought the Wildcats within one goal.
Penn College returns to action Sept. 7, 4 p.m., at Keystone College.
