Cazenovia, NY – Penn College dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to Cazenovia College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match Saturday. With the loss the Wildcats fell to 3-5-1 Overall, 1-2 NEAC, while Cazenovia improved to 4-3, 1-1.
Cazenovia got out to a hot start scoring the games first goal only 27 seconds in. Penn College would even the game in the 8
th minute with an unassisted goal by
Hailee Hartman. Cazenovia scored again the 28
th minute to take 2-1 halftime lead. Hartman scored again in the 63
rd minute to tie the game at two. Cazenovia netted the game winner in only the second minute of overtime. Michaela Breeze scored on a penalty kick to give Cazenovia the 3-2 victory.
Penn College held a 21-14 edge in shots and the both team had three corner kicks.
Taylor Gonzalez recorded eight saves for Penn College, while two Cazenovia goalies combined to save 19 Wildcat shots.
Penn College returns to action Tuesday, 7 p.m. at home against Susquehanna.
