COBLESKILL, N.Y. – SUNY Cobleskill rode a 16-point first half lead to a 76-59 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 2-16 overall, 1-8 NEAC, while the Tigers improved to 5-13, 2-8.
James Bullock led all scorers with a game-high 19 points, on 7 of 18 shooting. Bullock also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Ben Sosa added 10 points for Penn College.
Anthony McNeil led Cobleskill with 18 points, Malik Chambers finished with 17, and Joel Costello added 10 points.
The Tigers jumped out to 15-4 lead en route to a 42-26 halftime advantage.
Penn College trailed by double-digits until the 6:48 mark of the second half when a pair of
Jesse White free throws made it a 64-55 game. The Wildcats got as close as seven, 66-59, on a Bullock layup with 3:53 left in the game before Cobleskill end the game on a 10-0 run.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting Bryn Athyn.
