MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Penn College dropped a 92-62 decision to Montclair St. in a non-conference men's basketball game Friday. The Wildcats fell to 0-3, while the Red Hawks improved to 2-0.
Ben Sosa scored a game-high 20 points for Penn College, on 7 of 14 and
Ryan Lockman added 17 points and four rebounds.
Akbar Hoffman led Montclair St. with 20 points.
Penn College was competitive in opening five minutes of the game and took an 8-5 lead on Sosa's layup with 15:34 remaining in the first before Montclair used a 19-2 run to lead 24-10 with 10:56 before halftime. The Hawks lead never went below double-digits en route to a 41-25 halftime lead.
Montclair outscored Penn College, 51-37, in the second half and scored 20 second-chance points in the game on 18 offensive rebounds.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 2 p.m., against Moravian.
