ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn College fell to Penn State Abington 94-74 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2 NEAC, 0-7 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 2-0, 4-2.
Imari Walker scored a career-high 17 points, on 6 of 13 shooting.
Ryan Lockman finished with 16 points,
Spencer Bartron added 13,
Carson Garvis pumped in 12, and
Ben Sosa added 11.
Devin Hill led five Abington players that reached double figures with a game-high 23 points.
The opening six minutes of the game featured six lead changes, with Penn College taking its final advantage, 9-8, on a Walker trey with 15:08 left in the first. Abington answered with a 13-3 scoring run to lead 21-11 with 12:43 left and took a 43-34 lead at halftime.
Abington held a double-digit lead the entire second half.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 8 p.m., hosting Penn State Berks.
