CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Cazenovia dropped 42 points in the second half en route to a 63-45 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. PCT fell to 2-10 NEAC, 3-18 overall, while Cazenovia improved to 5-8, 6-16.
Robert Young Jr. led Penn College with 15 points, on 7 of 15 shooting, and
Spencer Bartron finished with 10 points.
Jesse White grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
Trvon Balaam led all scorers with 20 points for Cazenovia and Wil Thompson finished 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The opening eight minutes of the game feature seven lead changes before Penn College took its largest lead, 14-8, on Young's jumper with 6:55 left in the half. Caz rallied to even the score at 14 with 4:34 before the break, which led to two more deadlocks until PCT got two free throws from Matt Salvent to lead 23-21 at the break.
Penn College built its lead to seven, 28-21, on Young's layup one minute into the second half and led by 10, 38-28, on
Ryan Lockman's layup with 13:29 remaining. Caz answered with 25-2 run and never looked back.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., at SUNY Poly.
