Baseball Sweeps Cabrini In Non-Conference Doubleheader 
 
RADNOR, PA: The Penn College baseball team extended its winning streak to three games Friday afternoon when they swept Cabrini University in a non-conference doubleheader.  Penn College won game one 11-9 and the night cap 17-3.

Game One: Trailing 8-5 in the top of the 6th inning Penn College rallied for six runs to take an 11-8 lead that they would not relinquish.  With the Wildcats having scored three runs in the top of the 6th to tie the game, Colton Riley hit his first career home run a three run shot to propel the Wildcats into the lead. Cabrini was able to add a run in the bottom of the 7th but Devon Sanders was able to pitch out of a two-out jam to pick up his first save of the season as the Wildcats won 11-9.

Six out of nine Wildcats had multi hit efforts in the win as they belted out a total of 14 hits in the game.  Riley finished a perfect 3-for-3 from the dish with three RBI's and three runs scored.  Nathaniel Lowe picked up two hits, knocked in a pair and scored a pair in the winning effort.

Game Two:  The Wildcats broke open a 3-3 tie in game two as they scored 14 runs in the final three innings to complete a series sweep of Cabrini on Friday afternoon.  A day of big innings continued for the Wildcats in the 5th inning as they scored six runs to take a 9-3 lead.  Lowe knocked in the game-winning run when he laced an RBI scoring triple to right that Scored Noah Esposito.  The Wildcats would tack on five more runs in the inning with Deric Ellerman getting in on the action with a two RBI double to left center.

Penn College put the game out of reach in the top of the 7th when they plated eight runs to extend their lead to 17-3.  They had seven out of their total 16 hits in the inning keyed by a three RBI triple by Cody Cline and a two-run home run by Benjamin Flicker.

Six different Wildcats had multiple RBI's in the game including Cline who finished the game going 3-for-5 from the plate with four RBI's and two runs scored.  Flicker also finished with three hits, three RBI's and three runs scored.  Richard Lennon and Colton Riley had two hits, two RBI's and three runs scored in the game.

Trevor Dolin notched his first win of the season going 6.0 innings allowing three runs  of which two were earned.  Dolin allowed four hits and two walks while striking out four.

The Wildcats will return to action next Saturday when they open up NEAC Conference play at home vs Cazenovia College in a doubleheader.  First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
