SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Penn College dropped a pair of non-conference softball games to Susquehanna University Wednesday at fell to 8-12. The Wildcats lost the first game 8-0, and the nightcap 6-1.
In game one,
Susquehanna scored three runs in the first, one in the second, and two in the fourth and fifth innings, while holding Penn College to just one hit – a
Morgan Heritage double.
Kassidy Svenson pitched 1.2 innings and fell to 2-1. She allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits, with one strikeout and two walks.
In game two,
The River Hawks scored three in the first inning and three in the fourth, while
Taylor Brooks brought in PCT's run the seventh.
Brooks,
Taylor Krow, and
Chelsea Gray all had two hits each for Penn College.
Kelsea Dangle fell to 1-3 after three innings in the circle. She allowed six earned runs, on eight hits, with one strikeout and three walks.
Penn College returns to action Saturday hosting SUNY Cobleskill.
