WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 78-56 contest to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 2-13 overall, 1-5 NEAC, while the Wolves improved to 7-5, 4-1.
Elijah Vazquez scored a game-high 22 points for Penn College, on 8 of 17 shooting, including 6 of 14 from behind the arc.
Spencer Bartron finished with 12 points for the Wildcats.
David Oliveras led Keuka with 16 points, Trevor Powell added 14, Achraf Sadouck finished with 13, and James Barnes and Ryder Mansfield both pumped in 10 points.
Keuka built a 37-26 halftime lead and led by as many as 20, 52-32, midway through the second half. Penn College closed the gap to nine, 56-47, after a 15-4 run that spanned nearly five minutes and was sparked by Vazquez' nine points. Keuka regained a double-digit advantage for the rest of the half.
Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 8 p.m., hosting College of Saint Elizabeth.
