UTICA, N.Y. – SUNY Poly used a strong first quarter en route to a 62-52 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. Penn College fell to 0-10 NEAC, 1-17 overall, while Poly improved to 13-5.
Cassi Kuhns led Penn College with 14 points,
Madison Klock added 12, and
Kiara Fry finished with 10.
Molly Burdick and Rylie Smith both finished with a game-high 19 points for Poly.
Poly jumped out to a 24-6 lead after the first quarter and led 42-24 at halftime. PCT trailed 55-35 heading into the fourth and outscored Poly 17-7 in the final period.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 2 p.m., hosting Marywood.
