YORK, Pa. – Penn College finished 2-1 at York College's quad meet Saturday and improved to 11-12. The Wildcats beat Southern Virginia, 30-9, and Penn State Mont Alto, and fell to York 40-9.
 
Against SVU,
 
Trailing 12-6 after 133, Penn College won three straight to gain momentum. At 149, Cam Dickey, down 2-0 after an early first period takedown, scored 10 unanswered points (seven in the third period) and picked up a major decision 10-2. Jesse Walker avoided getting pinned in the first period at 157, fought back from a 6-0 deficit at picked up a pin in the final minute. Colin Browne fought back in his match at 174 after trailing 6-2 at 174. Browne scored 13-straight points to pick up a major decision
 
Dylan Gettys earned a major decision at 184, Jared Mooney edged out a 6-5 decision at 197 and Dylan Otis picked up a 3-1 decision at heavyweight.
 
Against Mont Alto,
 
The Lions only points were forfeits at 125 and 133, before the Wildcats swept the rest of the match.
 
Gavin Link earned an 8-0 major at 141, Walker followed with a major decision, and Makeela Fabrizio won 13-6 at 157. Daniel Bergeron won by injury default at 165 and Browne and Gettys earned a fall and technical fall in the last two contested bouts.
 
Against York,
 
Gettys' injury default win at 174 and Otis' decision at heavyweight were Penn College's only two victories against the No. 25 ranked Spartans.
 
Penn College returns to action Friday, 7 p.m., at Wilkes.
