CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – Penn College scored a pair of first half goals to defeat Cazenovia, 2-0, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. Penn College snapped an eight-game non-winning streak and improved to 2-4-2 NEAC, 2-11-2 overall, while Cazenovia fell to 1-6-1, 4-7-2.
How it Happened:
Greg Conkle converted a penalty kick in the 27
th minute to give PCT a 1-0 lead, while
Cole King headed in
Colton Wartman's pass in the 30
th minute to put Penn College ahead, 2-0.
Inside the Box: Penn College outshot Cazenovia, 23-13, including 11 on frame, while Cazenovia held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-1.
Joshua Stanley turned away four shots in goal for Penn College.
Outside the Box: Stanley earned his first win in goal this season in his third start. Conkle scored his third goal of the year, while King deposited his second. Wartman leads Penn College with 12 points on four goals and four assists.
