WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College shutout Wells College, 4-0, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Friday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats improved to 8-2 NEAC, 9-7-1 overall, while the Express fell to 0-10, 0-13.
How it happened: Morgan Brooks scored her sixth goal this season in the third minute to give Penn College a 1-0 lead, before Tiffany Brown found Dominique Brown in the seventh to make it 2-0. Kaelan Cronan put the Wildcats ahead 3-0 in the 13th minute on an unassisted tally.
Miya Roman scored off a deflection off the crossbar in the 54th minute to give Penn College a 4-0 lead.
Inside the Box: Penn College outshot Wells, 27-0, and held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Taylor Gonzales and Charlee Marshall split time in goal for the Wildcats.
Outside the Box: D. Brown scored her team-best 11th goal this season.
A win Saturday will locked up the No. 2 seed, and first-round bye, in the NEAC playoffs for Penn College.
