Penn College Falls to Keuka; Will Host NEAC Playoff Match

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 4-1 decision to Keuka College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats concluded the regular season at 8-3 NEAC, 9-8-1 overall, while Wolves finished 10-1, 13-4.

Penn College locked up the No. 4 seed in this week's NEAC playoffs, while Keuka secured the No. 2 seed and a first round bye.

How it Happened: After the Wildcats had two great looks on goal in the opening five minutes – with Tiffany Brown's shot being saved in the first and Dominique Brown's shot in the fifth getting blocked, Keuka made it 1-0 in the sixth minute.

The Wolves made it 2-0 on a penalty kick in the 26h minute before Kaelan Cronan beat a defender one-on-one and found the upper 90 in the 42nd minute to make it 2-1.

Keuka added a score in the 58th minute and another in the 70th.

Inside the Box: Keuka out shot Penn College, 20-9 (11-3 on goal) and held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Taylor Gonzales turned away seven shots in goal for Penn College.

Outside the Box: Cronan scored her eighth goal this season for Penn College.

The Wildcats recognized seniors Sammy Thomas, Madison Kistler, Jenna Rejman, Francesca Timpone, Tayla Derr, Tiffany Brown, and Morgan Brooks prior to the match.

Up Next: Penn College will host SUNY Poly in Tuesday's NEAC Championship quarterfinals. A time is still to be determined.
