CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Penn College fell 77-51 to Clarks Summit in a non-conference men's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 2-5, while the Crusaders improved to 2-7.
How it Happened: Clarks Summit led 41-28 at halftime and outscored Penn College 36-23 in the second half.
Inside the Box:
Ben Sosa led the Wildcats with 12 points, while
Fred Young added 11, and
Elijah Vazquez finished with 10. Sosa and
Carson Garvis both grabbed seven rebounds.
Marcus Dixon led all scorers with 25 points.
The Wildcats struggled to find the net with a 32.8 shooting percentage, while the Crusaders finished with 45.9% from the field. Clarks Summit generated 17 points and 18 Penn College turnovers.
Outside the Box: "We got off to a slow start tonight and we were never able to fully recover. Despite the game being delayed an hour and a half, we should have been able to come out of the gate with more fire and energy than we did," Penn College coach
Geoff Hensley said. "Our coaching staff needs to do a better job preparing our team for games and our players need to do a better job executing on the court. We are in this together and we will figure it out."
