COBLESKILL, N.Y. – Penn College fell to SUNY Cobleskill, 100-77, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-1 NEAC, 2-6 overall, while the Tigers improved to 1-0, 5-1.
How it Happened: Penn College jumped out to 9-0 lead – led by five points from
Carson Garvis – but Cobleskill answered with a 17-0 run to propel itself to a 43-31 halftime lead. The Wildcats pulled with six, 49-43, on
Elijah Vazquez' three with 16:14 left in the game but they could not get any closer.
Inside the Box: Garvis led Penn College with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Vazquez finished with 16 and
Brody Baker added 10.
Ben Sosa grabbed 10 boards and had a team-high six assists.
James Conteh scored a game-high 25 points for Cobleskill.
