MORISVILLE, N.Y. – Penn College dropped an 81-51 decision to Morrisville in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 1-21 overall, 0-13 NEAC, while the Mustangs improved to 7-15, 6-7.
Kaylah Brown and
Ariana Burke both scored 11 points to lead Penn College in scoring and
Ja'Quela Dyer finished with 10 points for the Wildcats. Burke also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Charlotte Walker pumped in a game-high 28 points for Morrisville, Tori Rockefeller added 19 and Miranda Wright and Anna Raymond both finished with 10.
The Mustangs built a 27-7 first quarter lead and led 42-27 at halftime. Morrisville outscored Penn College 39-24 in the second half.
The Wildcats return to action Sunday, 12 p.m., at Cazenovia.
