WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College fell to Penn State Abington, 68-53, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 3-9 overall, 1-4 NEAC, while the Nittany Lions improved to 6-7, 4-1.
How it Happened: Penn College held a one-possession lead the majority of the first half, and led by as many as three on three occasion – all on Cassi Kuhn buckets – and held a 17-15 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Abington gained the lead for good with a three to start the second quarter, which sparked a 15-6 run and a 30-23 lead with 3:46 left. The Lions led 34-26 at halftime.
Abington outscored Penn College, 28-20, in the third quarter, while Penn College held a 7-6 edge in the fourth.
Inside the Box: Kuhns scored a game-high 22 points for Penn College and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Madison Klock finished with 13 points.
Ashya Gaddy and Sydney Daniels both scored 14 points for Abington.
