MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn College fell 99-81 to Penn State Harrisburg in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats dropped to 5-13 overall, 3-6 NEAC, while the Nittany Lions improved to 12-6, 8-1.

Elijah Vazquez' three put the Wildcats on top 11-8 with 15:44 left in the first. Harrisburg answered with a 13-2 run to take a 21-13 two minutes later and led 49-37 at halftime.
The Lions led the entire second half.
Inside the Box: Vazquez scored a game-high 25 points for Penn College,
Ben Sosa finished with 20, and
Fred Young added 11.
Donyae Baylor-Carroll paced Harrisburg with 25.
Milestone Alert: Vazquez is 10 points shy of reaching 1,000 career points.
Outside the Box: "Our guys came out with some grit and competed with a very talented team. I commend our players for their willingness to step up to the challenge," Penn College coach
Geoff Hensley said.
"I thought our players did a great job executing the offense, but 18 turnovers is still too many times to be giving the ball back to the opponent. Our defense had good stretches, but then the other team would answer with a run of their own when we had mental lapses.
"We have great team chemistry that takes the approach of continuous improvement every time we step on the court. We need to stay focused and keep trusting the process."
Up Next: Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 5 p.m., hosting Penn State Abington.
